Fitbit Flex 2: Woman Claims It ‘Exploded’ Causing 2nd Degree Burns
Bad news for wearables today as a Fitbit Flex 2 user in Wisconsin said she suffered second-degree burns on her arm after her Fitbit tracker exploded.
Fitbit says they are taking this incident very seriously, and will report on any findings as they investigate
The burns were so serious that doctors had to remove its of plastic and rubber from her arm.
Given the volatile nature of batteries as witnessed by the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, it will be interesting to see what comes of this malfunction.
